Medical Receptionist
Tenambit medical centre have a rare opening for an experienced and professional medical receptionist.
Tenambit medical centre is an extremely busy practice. We consist of 4 GP's, Nursing staff and excellent allied health providers which are all supported by our experienced Admin team.
Position description:
Able to open and close the practice as per set protocols
To greet patients and other callers of the practice in a courteous manner
To answer the telephone promptly and courteously
To make appointments for patients
To enter and update patients’ details.
To issue patients invoices/receipts and bulk bill as required.
To deal with emergencies when necessary – within job scope.
Ensure recall policy is followed.
Maintain reception in a neat and tidy manner.
Scanning of mail and patient documents.
Assist the doctors and nurses by making phone calls, photocopying etc.
Check and action internal emails
Fill in roster when staff are on leave
The successful applicant will demonstrate the following key criteria:
Experience working in a similar role and environment
Excellent customer service skills
Sound organisational and administrative skills
Ability to prioritise tasks while working in a busy and dynamic environment
High level of attention to detail
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
A sense of urgency when required
Experience with Microsoft office
Previous experience working with Best Practice software not essential but preferred.
This role would be best suited for someone wanting an average 1-2 days per week
