Hunter Region Administration - Support Full Time Employment Applications close 04/03/2024

We are seeking an experienced medical receptionist to join our practice on a full-time basis. We have 4 general practitioners, 1 practice nurse and a helpful administration team.

Full-time Medical Receptionist


Duties include:

General reception duties:

  • welcoming patients
  • taking phone calls
  • responding to emails and faxes
  • making appointments
  • invoicing

Opening and closing surgery

Providing support for Doctors and Nurse

Essential Requirements:

Previous experience in a General Practice

Experience using Medical Director or Best Practice

Excellent communication skills and a professional manner

Patience and empathy in dealing with patients

High attention to detail

Able to work independently.

Desirable Requirements:

Triage for General Practice and CPR training

Knowledge of Medicare, DVA and Work Cover billings

Knowledge of Practice Accreditation
