Practice Manager

We are looking to employ a Practice Manager for an expanding, modern specialist medical practice.

Reporting directly to the Practice Principal, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Leadership and management to a team of administration, nursing and Allied Health staff
  • Oversee staff performance and the day to day running of the practice
  • Nurturing and developing strong relationships with other healthcare professionals
  • Ensure continuous high standard of service delivery to our patients and their families
  • Undertake reception duties including but not limited to greeting patients, appointment making, patient billing and liaising with GP practices.

Selection Criteria

  • Previous management or senior role experience essential
  • Minimum Certificate IV in a relevant tertiary course highly regarded
  • Sound knowledge of MBS and DVA billing requirements
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with an ability to relate to people at different levels and from different backgrounds
  • Ability to work as part of a team and / or independently
  • Demonstrate dedication, professionalism and competence in your key role of patient management
  • Skills to adapt to changing situations and environment
  • Excellent organisational skills, with attention to detail
  • Experience in using office systems such as filing, petty cash and banking
  • Excellent word processing skills
  • IT skills and/or experience with troubleshooting
  • Previous experience with Medical Director and Bluechip preferable.
