Local fossicking sites

There are many spots in the area to try your luck at finding a world-famous Inverell sapphire! The outstanding Inverell Visitor Information Centre (which also has great coffee) has fossicking maps with local sites and equipment for hire. There are also shops in town that will cut and polish the treasure you find!

At Billabong Blue Sapphire Fossicking Park you can pay a small fee for equipment and tips to perfect your technique. Toilets, camp kitchen, picnic tables, camping sites.
