Education
The PHN are committed to providing high quality and relevant Allied Health education webinars, workshops, ECHO hubs, conferences, and coaching opportunities. We aim to deliver education specifically for tailored for allied health professionals and practice staff under the guidance of our Allied Health Reference Group (AHRG). We are pleased to provide attendance certificates for CPD hours certification for all face-to-face education.
In the first six months of 2022 the PHN have provided 13 allied health specific education opportunities, which resulted in over 640 allied health sector registrations for attendance. The key webinar topics included COVID Legal and Workplace Claims for Allied Health, Business Skills, Telehealth in Allied Health, Digitalise your Allied Health Practice and LGBTQ Inclusive Care in Allied Health. Coaching
As part of the Allied Health Coaching and Education program, the PHN has been able to offer fully funded places in professional coaching and accredited coaching skills development programs through Capstan Partners. Professional coaching skills have been effective in boosting the performance of individuals, teams, and organisations. Coaching approaches can support wellbeing, address burnout and potentially improve the quality and safety of care.
Due to the success of the programs run in 2021, the PHN has been able to offer coaching again in 2022. See the video above for feedback from some of the 2021 participants.
News: Business Skills Workshops for Allied Health professionals a huge success.
The PHN recently completed a series of Business Workshops for Allied Health professionals which were held across our PHN in the Central Coast, Taree, Hunter Valley and Inverell regions.
Participants were promised to walk away from the workshop, with a range of tools ready to apply to their business, including:
- A one-page “Vision Map” which gives you clarity for the next 5 years.
- A one-page Business Improvement Plan, that lays out strategies to save time and increase profit.
- A simple dashboard structure to measure and monitor performance to ensure your goals are met
- A 90 Day Action Plan which identifies key actions to apply in the next quarter.
The workshops were a huge success with some of the best feedback and evaluation results for education that the PHN has seen. The overall rating from participants was 5/5 with some of key learnings outlined as defining business purpose, values and written goals, building team culture, and developing confidence in leadership.
