Sexual Assault and Child Sexual Abuse Primary Care Local Link: A Pilot Program.

The Hunter New England and Central Coast PHN invites service providers in the Domestic, Family and Sexual Violence (DFSV) (including child sexual abuse) sector to attend the Sexual Assault and Child Sexual Abuse Local Link Pre-Release Information Session.

DFSV, including child sexual abuse is a public health issue and is recognised as a serious challenge facing NSW.

Therefore, the PHN will be expanding its DFV Local Link pilot to include a primary care response for sexual assault and child sexual abuse, in the Newcastle, Lake Macquarie and Maitland LGAs.

The funding forms part of a suite of initiatives to reduce all forms of DFSV against women and children and supports the implementation of the National Plan to End Violence against Women and Children 2022-2032.
