Part of the Fertility Webinar Series AMH testing-when, why, what to do with it Reproductive Genetic Carrier Screening.

AMH: The clinical significance of AMH lies in its ability to help assess whether an individual’s AMH level falls outside the expected range for their age. This information is valuable in understanding how well a person’s fertility aligns with their chronological age, and the extent to which their AMH result deviates from the typical range. This Session will cover interpreting AMH results and discuss when to refer patients for further follow up.

Reproductive Carrier Screening: Australian obstetric guidelines recommend that ANY couple or person who is planning a pregnancy, or are in the first trimester of pregnancy, should be offered reproductive genetic carrier screening. Due to the recent introduction of medicare rebates for Genetic Carrier screening, there is an increase in patients accessing this test, and therefore the need to understand options for patients following results. This session will discuss Genetic Carrier Screening test options, interpreting results and next steps including options for preimplantation genetic testing (PGT-A & PGT-M) for high risk patients.
