Additionally, it offers flexibility for those delaying family planning due to personal or career reasons. The process involves four main steps: initial consultation, ovarian stimulation, egg retrieval, and vitrification, with counseling being essential throughout.

SPEAKER Dr. Angela Dunford works in a private fertility practice in Newcastle and serves as a staff specialist gynecologist at John Hunter and John Hunter Children’s Hospitals. Trained at John Hunter Hospital and with a fellowship at the Royal Children’s Hospital Melbourne, she specializes in fertility preservation, pediatric and adolescent gynecology, and addressing gynecological issues in gender diversity. Passionate about ensuring young people are not limited by their periods, she collaborates closely with local specialists.
