The CCLHD Psychology Department will be holding their annual Professional Development Day for 2023 during Psychology Week on Thursday 16 November 9 am till 4.30 pm (in-person at the Auditorium, Gosford Hospital). The theme of the day is: “A Practice Update: Core Skills across the Life Span.” Although the event is targeted at psychologists, this event is open to all health professionals. The cost to attend the day is $30 (plus booking fee). Registrations must be completed online and full details of the day can be found on the Eventbrite registration page.

Topics and speakers for the day include:

1. Ms Amanda Gamble (Clinical Psychologist): “Adolescent Sleep: The Perfect Storm.” (Ms Gamble will be presenting online, but the audience is required to attend in-person at the Auditorium at Gosford Hospital).

2. Dr Ben Britton (Principal Psychologist, NHELHD, NSW Health): “Leading Health Behaviour Change: Helping other clinicians think like a psychologist.” (Dr Britton will be presenting in-person).

3. Professor Ron Rapee (School of Behavioural Sciences, Macquarie University): “An overview of current treatments and developments in the management of child and adolescent anxiety disorders.” (Prof Rapee will be presenting in-person).

4. Small group presentations by CCLHD Psychologists (topics and sign-up sheets available at registration desk on the day).
