ASHM is pleased to provide this new course that dives deep into core elements of a nurse and midwife’s scope of practice relating to hepatitis B. This course will provide nursing and midwifery professionals with in-depth, practical and person-centered hepatitis B care information, and will focus on a different topic each session. Our topic for this course is perinatal and infant prevention and care of hepatitis B. The course will discuss hepatitis B prevention, diagnosis, management and care from pregnancy to birth and infancy.

Attendees are encouraged to come prepared with existing or potential examples/cases they may have encountered with managing pregnancy, births or infants affected by hepatitis B, as there will be an opportunity to discuss, and problem-solve with other healthcare professionals attending the course. If you would like to submit a practice model for discussion, please contact Sarah Tran by clicking here to send an email to sarah.tran@ashm.org.au by Wednesday, 8 November, 2023.
