Are you a medical or nurse practitioner with an interest in treatments for opioid dependence? You are invited to join us at the NSW Opioid Treatment Accreditation Course (OTAC) on Sunday 4th December, either online via Zoom or In-person in Sydney CBD. EVENT DETAILS When Sunday 4th December from 9:00pm to 5:00pm Where In-person (Rydges Sydney Central) or Online (via Zoom) Morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea will be provided for in-person attendees. All attendees will receive a course booklet and other resources. ------------------- The OTAC is designed for medical and nurse practitioners in NSW to assist in the development of knowledge, skills and practices to support the safe prescribing of opioid treatment pharmacotherapies (i.e., methadone and buprenorphine for opioid dependence). The course is free to medical and nurse practitioners with an interest in opioid treatment pharmacotherapies. Those who complete the OTAC are also eligible to undertake a brief clinical placement and apply for accreditation to prescribe opioid treatment pharmacotherapies within NSW. The OTAC is managed by the University of Sydney Specialty of Addiction Medicine with funding from the NSW Ministry of Health.
