Telehealth has become an important mode of care delivery over time, and its sudden popularity in the early days of the COVID-19 pandemic signaled a possible healthcare transformation. Telehealth helped maintain continuity of care for millions, preserved personal protective equipment, and facilitated social distancing. Yet, questions remain. In this panel discussion, healthcare researchers and practitioners from Australia and the United States will address increased use of telehealth in these unprecedented times, challenges of an accelerated life cycle of expansive delivery changes, and sustained use of telehealth, with the aim of exchanging ideas and experiences from both countries. Panelists: • Len Gray: Director of the University of Queensland's Center for Health Services Research • Teresa Anderson: Chief Executive of Sydney Local Health District • Lori Uscher-Pines: Senior Policy Researcher at The RAND Corporation • Rachel Reid: Physician Policy Researcher at The RAND Corporation Moderator: • Ateev Mehrotra: Associate Professor of Health Care Policy at Harvard University and Physician Policy Researcher at The RAND Corporation
