The PHN invites the Primary Care and Domestic, Family and Sexual Violence sector to the Launch of the Safe and Healthy Framework.

The key theme for the Framework is Domestic Family and Sexual Violence is a Public Health Issue and sets out actions aimed at achieving three overarching and interconnected priorities to help achieve the National Plan’s vision to end violence against women and children.

Join special guests Sharon Claydon MP and PHN CEO Richard Nankervis as they introduce the Safe and Healthy Framework and announce a new service that will support victim survivors of Sexual Violence and Child Sexual Abuse in Newcastle.

This will be followed by a panel discussion exploring the Framework’s priorities and current DFSV primary care responses.

The Launch will showcase artwork from the University of Newcastle’s Reclaiming My Place arts program.

Following the Launch, take part in a unique opportunity to learn about the art of strategic storytelling with a session led by Anecdote’s Shawn Callahan with the theme DFSV is a Public Health Issue.

The interactive workshop will help to build a collective voice harnessing the power of stories and data that moves the perception of DFSV from a social issue to a public health issue.
