General Practice Support Grants for COVID care - applications closing soon

Practice Support Grant funding will:

  • Support general practices to provide care in RACFs experiencing outbreaks
  • Facilitate the management of COVID-19 positive patients
  • Facilitate continued COVID safe access to vaccinations, additional support for vaccine boosters, and 5 -11-year-old vaccination activities with a particular focus on general practice and RACFs

The General Practice Support grants will support COVID care and vaccination access in the following ways:

  • Salaries for additional staff to meet the increased demand for COVID care
  • Purchase of small items of equipment to support COVID safe clinical activities, including qualitative FIT testing
  • To engage a FIT testing provider
  • Purchase of HEPA air filtration units

Applications are open now and close 5pm, Friday 31 March 2022.

(Note: The funds must be committed to services delivered between 1 July 2021 and 30 June 2022.)
