healthdirect Service Finder; Does your practice provide health support to visitors?

Health Direct provides 24/7 health information, advice and referral for all Australians no matter where they live and when they need help. Funded by government, Healthdirect Australia is the national virtual public health information service.

Health Direct works towards the health priorities of our Commonwealth and state funders to improve the health of Australians by providing trusted health services that are easily accessible via multiple channels — helplines, video call solutions, websites, service finders, mobile applications and social media networks.

Their virtual health services are for all Australians anywhere and anytime. For those who might struggle to access face-to-face health services, particularly in the after-hours period and in rural and remote regions, Health Direct services are essential healthcare alternatives.

The healthdirect Service Finder is a digital tool that provides quick and easy access to Australia's most comprehensive directory of health services and providers. It is part of the healthdirect service.

Key functionality for users, including healthcare professionals, includes:

  • Search and guided search for over 300,000 health services.
  • Available in 16 languages.
  • Available real-time click-to-book appointments at influenza vaccination clinics and Commonwealth funded COVID-19 vaccination services.
  • Accessibility for screen-readers.
  • Filterable by preferences for services that offer bulk-billing, telehealth appointments, wheelchair accessibility and more.
