Leading Allied Health provider confirmed as major sponsor of flagship awards

Community Therapy, the Hunter and Central Coast’s largest provider of allied health care services, has thrown its support behind the 2024 Primary Care Quality and Innovation Awards becoming its major sponsor.

Now in its fourth year the Awards, presented by Hunter New England and Central Coast Primary Health Network (the PHN) are an annual highlight for the primary health care sector in the region.

The Awards celebrate outstanding contributions from primary care providers and individuals and recognise continuous improvement using technology, innovation, teamwork, and knowledge sharing across the primary health care sector.

Community Therapy specialise in the care of older adults and people living with disabilities. It partners with approved community and residential aged care providers, disability service providers (including NDIS providers), private health insurers, rehab in the home providers, and primary health care teams to deliver expert multidisciplinary care.

Founded just eight years ago, Community Therapy today boasts a team of more than 130 physiotherapists, occupational therapists, dieticians, speech pathologists, exercise physiologists, massage therapists, therapy assistants and administration professionals.

Founder and Managing Director Scott Lynch said Community Therapy’s mission is to support, enable, and empower its clients to live enriched and meaningful lives.

“Becoming the major sponsor for the 2024 Primary Care Quality and Innovation Awards was an easy decision for our allied health team here at Community Therapy,” Scott said.

“We work hand in hand with hundreds of local aged care, disability, and primary care providers across this region, and feel so grateful not only to be able to support their clients, but also for the dedicated service our primary care partners provide our community.”

The PHN Chief Executive Officer Richard Nankervis said Community Therapy was a perfect fit as the Awards major sponsor.

“Innovation and excellence are at the core of Community Therapy’s team culture and services, leading to rapid growth whilst maintaining an outstanding reputation for expert mobile healthcare across the region,” Richard said.

“We are extremely pleased to have them join us as the major sponsor of our flagship annual event as it highlights the great importance of the role allied health care plays in the wellbeing of our communities.”

The 2024 Primary Care Quality and Innovation Awards will be presented at a gala dinner on Friday 26 July.
