The Engage Outpatients project is a new state-wide electronic referral program delivered by eHealth NSW, the Ministry of Health and stakeholders from LHD’s and Specialty Health Networks and supported by Primary Health Networks.

Engage Outpatients (EO) includes two solutions:

  1. Electronic Referral Management System (eRMS), the hospital-based system for receiving and managing referrals, and
  1. eReferrals, the electronic forms submitted by referrers via practice software or web portals. eReferrals replace other methods of sending paper referrals such as fax or post.
