The PHN attends the University of Newcastle Employment Expo to showcase Allied Health

The PHN attended the UON Allied Health Employment Expo on Tuesday alongside a wide range of other exhibitors and approximately 300 students. The PHN was represented by Jo Dean and Di Woodlands who spoke with many students throughout the day, studying a range of degrees including OT, Psychology, Social Work, Physiotherapy, Speech Pathology and Dietetics.

Jo and Di handed water bottles and pens to interested students, as well as a card with a QR code so students could join the PHN database for updates.

The key areas of interest from the students were conferences, networking business skills/coaching opportunities and job board on our website. Some students enquired about the type of people the PHN employ and the work we do.

It was also a fantastic opportunity to connect with the future Allied Health professionals of our region and introduce them to the PHN early in their career. Thanks to Jo and Di and good luck to all students!
