The PHN has published the following report summarising the key budget initiatives affecting primary care health providers across the Hunter, New England and Central Coast regions.
The 2023 May Budget Impact Assessment offers a detailed summary of the relevant initiatives, incentives and support included for general practices and other primary care providers.
The report also describes opportunities for improved care in other areas of health including aged care, nursing and midwifery, digital health, immunisation and the primary care workforce.

The PHN is funding scholarships is to increase the capacity of the Aboriginal workforce to work in Alcohol and Other Drugs Sector.
In a significant win for residents of the Hunter, New England and Central Coast, the federal government confirmed this week that three LGAs across the region will be home to four Medicare funded Urgent Care Clinics (UCC).
