The PHN is committed to designing, developing, and supporting primary rural health care through addressing the PHN’s purpose of increasing equity of access to primary health care services.

Awabakal LTD., the Hunter New England and Central Coast Primary Health Network (HNECC PHN) and nib foundation have partnered to deliver a community-led Social and Emotional Wellbeing program for the Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Maitland and Port Stephens regions.

Forecasters are warning the upcoming summer season will be both hotter and dryer than in recent years. With that in mind, the PHN is urging Hunter, New England and Central Coast residents to be prepared, stay informed and know their options.

The PHN is informing primary care providers that on 24/11/2023, the Public Health and Surveillance Branch in the Office of Health Protection of the Department of Health and Aged Care has issued a quarantine notice for the product; InterPharma Sodium Chloride 0.9% 10ml or 30ml ampoules.

A Geriatrician and co-founder of Hunter Ageing Alliance, John is also a highly valued member of the PHN's Hunter Manning Clinical Council and our Palliative Care and care for older people reference group.

The PHN continues to reform the mental health sector in response to pressures on services and workforce. Clinical Care Coordination services are evidence-based mental health interventions delivered by multi-disciplinary teams to manage the care of clients with complex mental health concerns.

Providence Medical Umina and Coastal Lakes Medical Practice Lake Haven are confirmed as the providers of the soon-to-be opened Medicare Urgent Care Clinics (UCCs) on the Central Coast.
