RACGP Rural Tamworth meet-up

Join the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP) for drinks and nibbles while catching up with your colleagues face-to-face. The RACGP is celebrating 30 years of the Rural Faculty in 2022. So we’re coming together in locations across Australia to share our highlights and mark this significant milestone. You are welcome to bring a guest to this event. Rural health stakeholders and medical students are also most welcome to attend.

Rural Nurses Conference

Rural Health Pro and APNA are delighted to invite nurses to the 2022 Rural Nurses Conference. The conference is aimed at all nurses working in rural and remote areas and will include a mix of high-quality, rural-focused education sessions and opportunities to reconnect and recharge. Your registration fee includes: • A welcome cocktail function by the pool (Thursday 24 November) • A full day of rural-focused education sessions • Targeted information on nursing careers (whether you're a student/early career nurse or approaching retirement) • Access to a Trade Hall • Wellbeing activities • A satchel with a special gift of thanks The 2022 Rural Nurses Conference is run in partnership with APNA and is part of RH22 a month of events and activities for rural health professionals. Hepatitis B Prescriber Update

In this 90-minute case discussion participants will discuss a range of hepatitis B case studies with a specialist or experienced HBV s100 prescriber, highlighting approaches to diagnosing, treating and managing people living with hepatitis B. Case scenarios are developed by ASHM clinical advisors or local experts to meet the identified learning needs of ASHM’s HBV prescribers, which vary from each State and Territory. Attendees are also encouraged to submit their own cases for discussion.

Hepatitis B for Nurses and Midwives

The course will provide Nursing and Midwifery Professionals with advanced practical skills and knowledge in hepatitis B nursing. The course includes presentations and case discussions that introduce the epidemiology and natural history of hepatitis B, vaccination, testing, fibrosis assessment, advanced liver disease, stigma and discrimination and the cultural context of hepatitis B nursing and midwifery.
