What is APNA’s Transition to Practice Program (TPP)?

The TPP, hosted by the Australian Primary Health Care Nurses Association (APNA), offers a 10-month, fully funded education framework for nurses transitioning to primary health care (PHC). It provides valuable clinical and professional support, and mentorship opportunities.

Who can apply?

• Transitioning Nurses (TNs): Graduate nurses and experienced nurses transitioning into PHC roles.

• Clinical and Professional Mentors (Mentors): Registered Nurses or Nurse Practitioners with PHC experience.

Join our 30-minute Zoom drop-in session to learn about APNA's fully funded program for nurses transitioning into primary health care. Whether you're a transitioning nurse seeking support or an experienced nurse interested in mentoring a group of nurses and being remunerated for your time, this program has something for you.

Australasian Melanoma Conference 2024

This highly-anticipated conference will be held on 25-26 October 2024 in the heart of Sydney’s magnificent Darling Harbour.

Mental Health Initial Assessment and Referral (IAR) Training Session

The Australian Government, through the Mental Health and Suicide Prevention Plan, is expanding and implementing the Initial Assessment and Referral (IAR) tool in primary care.

The PHN is providing 2-hour group training workshops to assist GPs and staff to learn how to use the IAR-DST online, therefore enhancing understanding and providing further IAR-related support for our communities
