Research Opportunity - Transcending individual blame and weight stigma for preconception women living in larger bodies from the perspectives of healthcare.

The preconception period has been identified as an opportunity to promote favourable maternal and infant outcomes, before, during and after pregnancy. Important preconception care include ensuring women are up to date on vaccinations, cessation of alcohol and smoking, folic acid supplementation and management of co-morbidities (e.g., asthma, diabetes).

Hepatitis C in Primary Care

This free training aims to provide participants with the knowledge and confidence to pursue the management of HCV in their primary care setting.   

Primary care providers can play a critical role in the elimination of hepatitis C in Australia by 2030. This workshop will provide an overview of the management of HCV in primary care settings, including case finding, testing, patient assessment and treatment.   

This free 1.5 hr interactive session provides practitioners in primary and related care settings with an overview of the hepatitis C management in primary care settings, including case finding, testing, patient assessment and treatment.

This activity has been approved by RACGP for the following hours and types: Educational Activities (EA): 1.5 hours

Research Opportunity - Knowledge, attitudes and current practice survey about long-acting reversible contraception and early medical abortion in primary care.

The aim of the study is to describe the levels of knowledge, attitudes and current practice (KAP) amongst general practitioners (GPs) and practice nurses (PNs) working in general practice, as well as community pharmacists (CPs) regarding long acting reversible contraception (LARC) and early medical abortion (EMA).
