Reframing Professional Boundaries

Reframing allied health roles.

Join Professor Susan Nancarrow to explore the practical facilitators of and barriers to task reallocation between health professional roles, and between health professional roles and the delegated workforce. Every health profession is currently grappling with shortages. Compounded by a complex health care system and a unique context of global circumstances, there is an imperative to look at solving existing workforce shortages with new and different solutions.

This workshop will explore the individual and structural factors that unconsciously limit workforce capacity. By understanding these constraints, we can uncover opportunities and drivers for change. The session will also encourage blue-sky thinking, aiming to harness the full potential of the allied health workforce to better meet patient needs.

Personal Leadership

The personal leadership work to be completed in this programme is an opportunity to orientate yourself inside your leadership thinking.

Leadership is historically judged on actions taken. In large organisational systems, this is often influenced by the expectations of others, perceived norms and boundaries, and a culture of obedience.

This programme invites you to consider a very simple observation: the quality of everything that human beings do depends on the quality of the thinking that we do first. The way we will work together on your Personal Leadership, and on the Mini Appreciative Inquiry where you will engage others, believes that the most important work that leaders have to do is to help people to think better for themselves.
