Let's Talk About Sex: Sexuality and Sexual Difficulties

Monash University Department of Obstetrics & Gynaecology is again running a two-day (25/3 & 2/4) online introductory course in Sexual Medicine and Therapy. This multidisciplinary course will discuss the need to talk about sex, the obstacles to talking about sex and will empower registrants to raise and discuss topics of sexuality and sexual difficulties with their patients/clients. It will be delivered online in 2022 and sold out in previous years. The course will discuss the need to talk about sex, the obstacles in talking about sex and empowering registrants to raise and discuss topics of sexuality and sexual difficulties with their patients or clients. It will cover the assessment and management of common sexual difficulties, from a biopsychosociocultural perspective, provide educational resources and an overview of therapeutic options.

Take a Breath - Asthma/COPD Medications and Devices (National Asthma Council)

This 1.5 hour session aims to update health professionals on the latest asthma and COPD medications and devices. It includes a demonstration of the correct technique for each device and highlights the benefits of correct device use in maintaining medication management for those with respiratory conditions.

Over 200 GPs and practice staff attend new program to identify and support victims of domestic family violence.

The Hunter New England and Central Coast Primary Health Network (PHN) is one of six PHNs to lead a Commonwealth funded initiative to build capacity in primary care providers to recognise, respond, refer and record patients who are experiencing domestic family violence.

Clinical Dilemmas in Neck and Upper Back Pain

A focus on Meningococcal B Disease; 'in-practice’

Presentation Overview This interactive webinar will provide an immunisation update on Invasive Meningococcal Disease, with a focus on Meningococcal B disease for nurses and nurse immunisers. It will include an overview of the disease and updates on the epidemiology and National Immunisation Program. Hear from a panel of immunisation nurse experts who will share case studies from different clinical environments and best practices in navigating the Meningococcal B vaccination discussion with parents, as well as an opportunity to engage in a Q&A session with the speakers.
