HPMI - CPR - Resuscitation Skills (BLS-CPR) for General Practice

• 2.5 Hour CPD Educational Workshop • 5 Category 2 CPR CPD Points from RACGP via Medics for Life • Suitable for ACRRM Members (BLS) • Certificate of Completion will be provided • Suitable for the whole practice team Learning Outcomes On completion of this activity, participants will be able to. Identify and apply the steps that need to be taken in the event of a cardiac arrest patient in the general practice setting. Recall the appropriate methods and processes of gaining emergency assistance in the general practice setting, in the event of a cardiac arrest. Manage a suspected cardiac arrest including the demonstration of BLS-CPR procedures, including the delivery of effective ventilation and compressions, and use of an AED on all age groups using anatomically appropriate resuscitation manikins. Implement strategies in the practice to reduce the emotional impact of an emergency on individuals and the team.

Supporting Mental Health Treatment in Primary Care - Graceland’s Forrester’s Beach

Supporting Mental Health Treatment in Primary Care. Doctor's dinner meeting. The presenter is psychiatrist Dr Suresh Goriparti. Dr Suresh Goriparti trained in psychiatry in the UK at the prestigious Northern Deanery in Newcastle and obtained membership from the Royal College of Psychiatrists (UK). Upon arrival in Australia he became a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists. Since moving to Australia, he completed advance training at Royal North Shore and Hornsby Hospitals. Dr Goriparti initially started at the Mental Health Intensive Care Unit and worked in a broad range of areas in NSWLHD. He is currently working as a Visiting Medical Officer in psychiatry at Northern Beaches and Wyong Hospitals. His special interests are psychosis, bipolar affective disorder and adult ADHD.
