Allied Health professionals, practice staff and owners in the Allied Health sector, Allied Health students, and other clinicians interested in collaborative work within the Hunter, New England and Central Coast regions are invited to join us at Oaks Cypress Lakes Resort for the PHN's second Allied Health Conference which will be held on Thursday 9th May 2024. The event will be livestreamed for those unable to attend face-to-face.

A Business Accelerator Workshop will be held Friday, 10th May 9.00am -12.00pm. This is a face to face workshop.
Facilitated by Momentum Business Improvement this intensive session, designed specifically for allied health business owners, will teach you the system and strategies to double your profits and will guide you, step-by-step through creating your 1-page Profit Powercell Plan.

If you would like to attend the workshop a fee of $50 applies, on registration please select the Conference and Workshop ticket option.

Master of Ceremonies

We are delighted to share with you our Master of Ceremonies for the conference, Anna Moulder. Since graduating from Southern Cross University in 2003, Anna has cultivated a rich career and renowned as a highly accomplish radio broadcaster, presenter, MC, and event host. Anna has forged invaluable connections across diverse industries, spanning the Australian music industry, education, health, Government, and beyond.

Christie Dawes - Para-Athlete
After competing internationally for more than two decades, wheelchair racer Christie Dawes has rightfully earned a reputation for being one of the fiercest competitors in the game. She first became eligible to compete in Paralympic sport as a 10-year-old, when – just 11 months after her dad had taken his own life – she became a paraplegic in a car accident.

Day 2 - The Business Accelerator; three-hour workshop

The Business Accelerator session will be offered as Day 2 of the PHN's Stronger Together Allied Health Conference.

The PHN is subsidising this intensive business accelerator session, designed specifically for Allied Health business owners, which will teach participants the system and strategies to double profits and will guide participants through creating a one-page Profit Powercell Plan.

Rural Scholarship EOI

The PHN would like to encourage rural Allied Health professionals to join us at the conference. We are offering a limited number of $500 scholarships towards the cost of accommodation and conference registration including the 3-hour Business Accelerator workshop on Friday.

Selection Criteria

  • Applicable to private allied health practices located in MM3 to MM5 locations. See the Health Workforce locator to check if you are eligible. https://www.health.gov.au/reso...
  • One application per organisation is permitted.
  • Full attendance at the conference on 9 May is required. The Business Accelerator workshop on May 10 is preferred, however optional.
  • No other financial scholarships such as RDN Scholarship have been offered to your organisation for this event.

EOI will remain open until 29 April 2024, unless places are filled earlier.
Confirmation of application status will be advised by 1 May 2024.

Re-imbursement of $500 including GST as a one-off payment will be processed once receipts for accommodation are emailed to alliedhealth@thephn.com.au and confirmation of attendance on the day.
