LAST CHANCE to Submit EOI for Domestic, Family, and Sexual Violence Medical Educators

Are you a GP passionate about improving health outcomes for those affected by Domestic, Family, and Sexual Violence (DFSV)? The Primary Health Network (PHN) is looking to expand its pool of Medical Educators to help primary care professionals spot the signs, start the conversation and link for specialist support.

No specialist DFSV experience is required—just a dedication to raising awareness and improving health outcomes. Men are especially encouraged to apply.

As part of the Department of Health and Aged Care’s initiative, this program aims to:

  • increase the confidence and capacity of general practice and allied health teams to identify and support victims of domestic, family, and sexual violence; and
  • introduce the Local Link program: a designated specialist worker who links the patient into ongoing specialised DFSV support.

GPs delivering the training are paid $150 per hour plus GST and 78 cents per km traveled. New educators receive comprehensive training and ongoing support from the Safe and Healthy team and education lead by Dr. Alison Lancey.

Don’t miss this last chance to submit your Expression of Interest (EOI) and make a difference in your community.

If you would like to be part of the Safe and Healthy Medical Education team, please email safeandhealthy@thephn.com.au by this Friday, June 7.

The initial training session will be held on Tuesday, June 11 at 6-9pm at the PHN Newcastle office (face-to-face only).
