Newcastle Safe Haven re-opens for crisis support

Located at 22 Stewart Ave, Hamilton East the Safe Haven is a non-clinical space staffed by peer workers and clinicians to provide support to people who may be experiencing distress and/or suicidal ideation.

Support services are provided free of charge and no referral or appointment is required for people to present to the Safe Haven. Aboriginal workers ensure the Safe Haven offers a welcoming and culturally safe environment.

The Newcastle Safe Haven is open every Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 4.00 pm to 9.00 pm.
