Research Opportunity: Understanding the facilitators and barriers for receiving and providing Medical Nutrition Therapy for diabetes in primary healthcare setting

Researchers from the University of Newcastle and Clinicians from the Hunter New England Local Health District want to understand the facilitators and barriers in delivering Medical Nutrition Therapy from the perspective of Health Professionals via an 10-15 minute online survey. A secondary focus of this research is also to understand the facilitators and barriers in delivering diabetes-related foot care.

Findings from this research survey will inform the development of strategies to improve the delivery and uptake of nutrition advice as well as diabetes-related foot care for patients with diabetes in the Diabetes Alliance Program Plus (DAP+).

We are seeking general practice clinicians or managers, or credentialled diabetes educators/diabetes educators that are currently working or on maternity leave and are based in the Hunter New England Local Health District.
