Cognitive behavioural therapy for insomnia (CBT-i) Webinar

GPEx invites GPs, GP registrars and primary health care teams to join us for this webinar on the benefits of Cognitive behavioural therapy in treating Insomnia as part of our Sleep GP Education Program.

This session will break down CBT-I and its core components along with referral pathways to help GPs best support their patients.

During the webinar we will:

• Identify Insomnia Disorder and its diagnosis, impact and comorbidities.

• Develop an understanding of the evidence-base for CBT-I.

• Examine CBT-I concepts, including stimulus control, sleep restriction, and cognitive restructuring and reducing hyperarousal.

• Review referral options for CBT-I.

• Compare common barriers to successful treatment and how to support patients through it.
