Hosted by the Heart Foundation in partnership with the World Heart Federation, this webinar will seek to explore the latest evidence on heart healthy eating patterns and strategies and tools to make translation and implementation of heart healthy eating patterns easier for your patients.

Our expert panelists' discussion will translate the latest evidence, focus on practical ways to support nutrition intervention for heart health, and strategies to improve the primary prevention of CVD through improved dietary eating patterns.

2022 Rural Practice Managers Conference

NSW Rural Doctors Network (RDN) and the Australian Association of Practice Management (AAPM) are thrilled to invite you to the 2022 Rural Practice Managers Conference which will be held on Thursday 24 November at the Crowne Plaza Sydney Coogee Beach.

Obesity prevention in early childhood from pre-conception to 4 months

This 1.5 hour webinar will be facilitated by specialist GP Ranessa Sebastian and Nurse educator Karen Willcocks. You will be able to identify the evidence-based health promotion and obesity prevention messages for the preconception period, pregnancy and for infants up to four months of age. You will also discuss key elements of responsive feeding practices for breastfeeding and bottle feeding.

Clinical Case Webinar: Patient transfers between opioid agonist treatment pharmacotherapies

Do you prescribe opioid treatment pharmacotherapies to your pateients? Join us for our next OTAC clinical case webinar, where we disucss patient transfers between different opioid treatment pharmacotherapies.

This upcoming webinar will discuss what clinicians should consider when transferring a patient between methadone, sublingual buprenorphine or depot buprenorphine pharmacotherapies. Within the discussion we will reflect upon clinical considerations that may impact on medication choice, including common pitfalls, patient preference, and patients who may be pregnant.

This session will be convened by Dr Sharon Reid (Medical Officer) and Dr Joshua Watt (GP Specialist & Addiction Medicine Advanced Trainee), both based at SLHD Drug Health Services.

ABOUT THE WEBINARS

This monthly webinar series involves case-based discussions, with seminar learning resources provided at the end of the session. Whilst primarily aimed towards prescribers of OAT, we welcome other health professionals to join in. The OTAC and the Clinical Case Webinars are managed by the University of Sydney Specialty of Addiction Medicine with funding from the NSW Ministry of Health.
