Many people may not know their hepatitis C status or be aware that new treatments with minimal side effects and high cure rates are readily available in primary care settings.
This workshop will assist primary health care staff (general practitioners and nurse practitioners) and practice managers in undertaking case finding for hepatitis C in their practice by:
- identifying target populations
- conducting searches to identify those patients
- implementing systems to recall those patients back for testing or care
- building stronger patient-practice relationships to enhance health outcomes for people living with hepatitis C
- providing an introduction to the Beyond the C program to assist your practice with tailored support and incentives to enhance your case-finding activities.
Each month we share useful local community health services, health fact sheets and parenting resources.
