Data Driven Practice Improvement: Chronic Kidney Disease (Case Study)

Health Professionals, join Kidney Health Australia with GP Consultant, Dr Chris Bollen and General Practice Pharmacist, Mr Tim Perry as they discuss and show how to utilise your practice data to find evidence of chronic kidney disease. Using electronic clinical software as an example, learn how to collect practice data and analyse gaps in diagnosis and correctly stage chronic kidney disease. Learn how to develop a practice plan to identify patients at risk without a coded diagnosis and create an individualised clinical action plan for a patient with chronic kidney disease.

Heart-Healthy Eating; A Recipe for effective behaviour change

On the 22nd November 2022, the Heart Foundation is once again partnering with the World Heart Federation to bring to you a health professional webinar focusing on the latest evidence of Nutrition in the context of cardiovascular risk reduction. The event will be chaired by Prof Garry Jennings, Chief Medical Advisor of the Heart Foundation, and we will be joined by Professor Clare Collins, world renowned Nutrition and Science commentator, researcher, and Fellow of the Australian Academy of Health and Medical Sciences, as well as Australian experts to explore the latest evidence on heart healthy eating patterns and traverse strategies and tools to make translation and implementation easier for your patients.

Australasian Nutrition in Healthcare Conference

In February 2023, health promotion charity Doctors For Nutrition will host the Australasian Nutrition in Healthcare Conference (NIHC). It will provide everyone from general practitioners, medical specialists and healthcare students, through to those simply interested in exploring the diet/disease relationship, the opportunity to expand their nutrition expertise. NIHC will see some of the biggest names in whole food plant-based nutrition and healthcare arrive in Melbourne to present their indispensable knowledge and research. More than 20 medical and dietetic expert speakers will showcase both the long-established and the latest research on whole food plant-based nutrition.

Hear from Dr Dean Sherzai, Dr Ayesha Sherzai, Dr Alan Desmond, Dr Gemma Newman, the list goes on. You’ll learn about the role of diet in the prevention, management and reversal of numerous chronic disease conditions. Topics to be covered include; brain health, gut health, heart health, hormonal health, skin conditions, cancer, type 2 diabetes, weight management, food systems and the environment.

Cancer Conversations: Integrative oncology

The Cancer Institute NSW are hosting a free webinar on Tuesday 15 November at 7pm exploring a coordinated approach to delivering integrative care for cancer patients from diagnosis through to treatment and care.
