Tenterfield is renowned for four distinct seasons typified by glorious displays of colourful autumn leaves, winters snuggled by the fireside, beautiful spring blossoms and mild summers, and is strategically located at the juncture of northern NSW and southern QLD.
It is the wide-open spaces, the endless skies and the carefree and relaxed lifestyle that has our residents convinced that we live in a little slice of paradise, and visitors coming back time and time again.
Dr Catherine Palmqvist will be discussing the challenges and hindrances GPs face currently and how to address them into the future. This presentation will look at our ageing population and the complex diseases within this patient group, considering how GPs being better engaged in the palliative care space can address this. There will be a specific focus on opioid prescribing for patients at end-of-life, as well as broader discussion about the inspirations and aspirations for the future GP workforce.
Please RSVP to megan@palliativecaresnw.org.au by Thursday 27th October with any dietary requirements.
