In 2023 the People & Culture team implemented the PHN Wellbeing Strategy 2023 to 2025 which is underpinned by the evidence based Thrive at Work framework. The framework promotes a holistic approach that not only focuses on helping unwell people get well again, but also on helping people stay well and be the best they can be.

The Rural Women's Gathering

The Rural Women’s Gathering, run by a local committee, and supported by the NSW Government, is an opportunity for women living in rural, regional and remote areas of NSW to come together and connect, network, celebrate and learn. Celebrating 30 years in 2023 the Rural Women's Gathering offers women a break from isolation of rural life and the chance to meet like-minded women.

2023 HPMI Newcastle Weekend

On behalf of the Hunter Postgraduate Medical Institute, I wish to invite you to attend our 15th Annual Health Care Professionals’ Conference and Exhibition which is being held at NEX, Newcastle West on Saturday 5 and Sunday 6 August, 2023. It has been a very difficult couple of years for everyone!

Introduction to electronic prescriptions for consumers

An electronic prescription is a safe and secure digital alternative to a paper prescription. It is a safe, convenient, and secure option that you can choose for your medicines. Join this session to learn more about the benefits of electronic prescription tokens. Learn how you can access an electronic prescription token via SMS or email and how to get the script filled at the pharmacy. You will also briefly learn more about the Active Script List. There will also be an opportunity for questions and answers at the end of the session.

Digital Health Foundations Series 1 - Healthcare Identifiers and the HI service

The meaningful use of digital health in Australia is underpinned by healthcare organisations connecting to the Healthcare Identifiers service. This four-part webinar series will provide managers of medical practices, community pharmacies and other healthcare organisations with an understanding of the foundations of digital health and how to put in place the pre-requisites required to connect to digital health services (such as electronic prescriptions, My Health Record and secure messaging). This session, ‘Healthcare Identifiers and the HI service’, is the first in the series and will cover the basics of the HI service and an overview of the steps required for an organisation to connect to digital health tools.

Digital Health Foundations Series 2 - Accessing PRODA & HPOS

The meaningful use of digital health in Australia is underpinned by healthcare organisations connecting to the Healthcare Identifiers service. This four-part webinar series will provide managers of medical practices, community pharmacies and other healthcare organisations with an understanding of the foundations of digital health and how to put in place the pre-requisites required to connect to digital health services (such as electronic prescriptions, My Health Record and secure messaging). This session, ‘Accessing PRODA & HPOS’, is the second in the series and will cover the steps required to gain access to Health Professionals Online Services (HPOS) via the Provider Digital Access (PRODA) platform, prior to registering an organisation for the HI service.

This four-part webinar series will provide managers of medical practices, community pharmacies and other healthcare organisations with an understanding of the foundations of digital health and how to put in place the pre-requisites required to connect to digital health services (such as electronic prescriptions, My Health Record and secure messaging). This session, ‘Registering a Seed Organisation with the HI service’, is the third in the series and will cover the steps required to obtain a HPI-O (healthcare provider identifier - organisation) and successfully register the organisation with the Healthcare Identifiers service.
