Engaging Adolescents™ for Child and Family Specialists

The professional training includes role-play, group discussion, worksheets, and videos. This one-day course equips professionals with skills to use in their work with teenagers and their parents as well as the knowledge to teach parents the program over three sessions and/or how to teach the tenets of the program in a few one-to-one clinical sessions should you wish to certify to become an Engaging Adolescents™ parent educator.

Anxiety Coach™ for Child & Family Specialists

The course is based on three underlying perspectives: first, by having an understanding of how anxiety develops, community and family support workers can assist parents to counter its progress in children. Second, community and family support workers can assist parents to take a preventative role in the development of anxiety problems in 4 -12 year-olds. Third, there are practical steps parents can take to develop resilience thinking skills in 4 -12 year-olds. Previously called No Scaredy Cats.

Melanoma Institute Australia invites you to join us for an engaging educational webinar designed for all Skin Cancer GPs, General GPs and Nurses who have an interest in skin cancer. Melanoma in situ (MIS) can be challenging to differentiate from benign skin lesions, and early detection is the key to successful treatment.

In this accredited live webinar, multidisciplinary experts will discuss diagnosis and management of MIS, the nursing role in topical treatments and how to effectively communicate the diagnosis to the patient.

Join our Chair, Professor Garry Jennings, and an expert panel as we showcase the new Australian CVD risk guideline and calculator in clinical practice. 

The new 2023 Australian Guideline for assessing and managing cardiovascular disease (CVD) risk and risk calculator provide the latest evidence, practical advice and tools for CVD risk assessment and management in primary care.  

Prediction in practice will illustrate how to effectively use the Aus CVD Risk Calculator in primary care through case-based demonstrations of new features such as reclassification factors and risk communication tools. One hour of live, case-based presentations will be followed by an extended 30-minute live audience Q&A with opportunities to pre-submit questions.
