Arthritis NSW presents Living well with Arthritis

Since 2018, Arthritis NSW has delivered regional/rural/ remote community education seminars across New South Wales and we are planning to deliver our next program in Cessnock on the 1st of May at the Cessnock leagues club. A central part of our mission involves imparting knowledge and sharing good evidence-based information to empower individuals in the self-management of their Arthritis. Our seminar aims to provide valuable insights, practical tips, and resources to help individuals effectively self-manage their arthritis and improve quality of life. We will be covering a wide range of topics from exercise, nutrition, and pain management to empower the community with knowledge and encourage health promoting behaviors.

AAAHP 8th National Educational Conference

AAAHP continues to provide affordable first class educational and networking opportunities for its members and the greater Anaesthesia community. We do this by securing the assistance of companies within the Anaesthesia community to be in involved in these events. Post Diagnostic Support for People Living with Dementia and their Carers

Developing novel solutions to meet the needs of people living with dementia and their carers.

People with dementia and carers in the ACT report feeling “ping-ponged” between services and have challenges accessing appropriate and timely post-diagnostic dementia care. Therefore, novel solutions are needed to meet the needs of people living with dementia and their carers.

In this webinar Dr Nathan D'Cunha will:

Describe the current gaps in dementia services offered in the ACT region;

Present results of a hospital-based trial of a twelve-week multi-component rehabilitation program for people with dementia and their care partners;

Discuss the ongoing development of a co-designed, short, targeted, at-home allied health dementia program.

Each of these service delivery initiatives heavily rely on Allied Health Assistants.
