The Carer Gateway and Young Carers Information Session

This session is a shared session which will introduce the Gateway followed by an introduction of supports for Young Carers from Carers NSW. Carer Gateway and Carers NSW come together to offer this split session. An explanation of the Gateway and the services offered to all carers will take place at the beginning of the session followed by an introduction on to the lives of young carers and the many supports available exclusively to them both within and outside of the Gateway, delivered by Carers NSW.

Smoking cessation - clinical guidance for nicotine vaping products

The RACGP and PSA have released updated clinical guidelines to assist medical practitioners and pharmacists who are providing smoking cessation care and might consider prescribing or dispensing nicotine vaping products (NVPs) as an unapproved smoking cessation aide. This webinar is intended to assist medical practitioners and pharmacists implement the new guidelines.

Australian Association of Musculoskeletal Medicine 'Joining the Dots: Making sense of Musculoskeletal Pain' 2021 Conference

Join us as we explore the common links between the wide range of available diagnostic paradigms, imaging modalities and treatment approaches and try to ‘make sense’ of musculoskeletal pain. With an emphasis on practical, day-to-day topics, the conference will feature many expert presentations and useful updates in clinical practice and imaging. Workshops will include ultrasound and injection skills, Regenerative Injection Therapies (PRP and Dextrose Prolotherapy), manual therapy and medicinal cannabis prescribing.

Cold Chain Management Update - Mastermind webinar

Please join us for a Public Health Unit (PHU) update on Cold Chain and an invitation to join the PHN’s Immunisation Community of Practice. The 'cold chain' is the system of transporting and storing vaccines within the temperature range of +2°C and +8°C. Cold chain begins from the time the vaccine is manufactured, continues through storage at the NSW State Vaccine Centre and ends when the vaccine is administered.

Jody Stephenson from the PHU Immunisation Team will provide you with an update on NSW Health’s Cold Chain requirements and current resources that are available to ensure that your practice has robust Cold Chain Management systems in place.
