Living with COVID Webinar: Oral Antiviral Therapies

Opioid Treatment Accreditation Course (OTAC)

You are invited to the Opioid Treatment Accreditation Course (OTAC) on Saturday 18th June 2022 in Newcastle at the Holiday Inn Express Newcastle. Funded by the NSW Ministry of Health, the OTAC is a free course for for prescribers to learn more about how to safely prescribe opioid pharmacotherapies (methadone and buprenorphine) for opioid dependence. Topics include an introduction to opioid dependence, treatment options, how to commence a patient on treatment, and more. This course will be facilitated by local drug and alcohol specialists: Dr Ian Chaussivert of Drug and Alcohol Services at Central Coast LHD, and Dr Arvind Kendurkar of Drug and Alcohol Services Hunter New England LHD. Completion of the OTAC also allows you to be recognised as accredited prescriber of opioid pharmacotherapies in NSW. This course is open to general practitioners, other medical practitioners & nurse practitioners.
