Introduction to Grief, Loss and Bereavement

In this introductory webinar, participants will learn the fundamental theories of grief and loss and the models required to provide effective grief and loss support. In addition, the various non-death related losses encountered throughout life will also be identified and explored.

Rural Update for Stroke – Hyperacute Interventions (RUSH-IN)

The purpose of the event is to highlight the benefits of urgent stroke identification and treatment. The aim is to provide information and education on Hyperacute Stroke Management, inform local clinicians of the assessment and management process and Telestroke update.

• A specialist stroke team will provide interactive information sessions relevant to your local community and practice.

• Engagement between service providers and local clinicians.

• Focus on multidisciplinary team to optimise patient outcomes.

• Changes to hyperacute stroke model of care, introducing NSW Statewide Telestroke

• Explaining processes required to deliver a Telestroke Service with a multidisciplinary approach

BE-FAST Hunter Update for Hyper-Acute Stroke Treatment

Stroke is one of the leading causes of disability in Australia. There are approximately 50,000 new strokes each year in Australia. We need to increase awareness through education including early identification of patients who may be eligible for hyper-acute therapy. Appropriate escalation and investigations of minor stroke/TIA to help reduce the risk of recurrent and disabling stroke. 2022 Rural GPs Conference

We're excited to announce that registration for the 2022 Rural GPs Conference is now open! This popular event for rural doctors and medical students will be held face-to-face from 24-27 November at the Crowne Plaza Sydney Coogee Beach. The conference will include clinical and non-clinical lectures and workshops as well as a range of social events and a Partner and Children's Program. It will be accredited with RACGP and ACRRM. This year we're also pleased to be able to offer FREE online access to ALL available presentations from RACGP's GP22. So that's two conferences for the price of one!

Is he really infertile? Let's talk about sperm

This course will provide essential and advanced knowledge in the field of male infertility and its management, focussing on its prevalence and causes. Conventional semen parameters will be discussed in context with the World Health Organisation (WHO) guidelines. The online sessions will be facilitated by practicing clinicians from a range of disciplines including, andrologists, endocrinologists, embryologists, reproductive scientists, general practitioners, and others presenting contemporary clinical evidence-based practice recommendations with Q&A. The afternoon will consist of interactive case discussions including the implementation of treatment strategies for male infertility patients based on clinical characteristics and semen parameters. Extra resources will be provided.
