This workshop series is for GPs and other primary care providers to enhance your knowledge and confidence to safely engage with people who use domestic and family violence. A panel of experts will discuss how to identify when violence is occurring and how to sensitively ask and respond to disclosures and encourage your patients to seek help appropriately.
GPs can attain 3 CPD points for attending either session (Intro or Advanced). OR 40 CPD points has been applied for GPs attending both Part 1 and 2 sessions (3 hours) plus pre and post activity (1-2 hours).
Live, online and free WinterROC 22 is the must attend GP event of the year.
The main themes of the conference are Skin Cancer, Musculoskeletal, Diabetes and Women's Health and these sessions have been created by the Australian Melanoma Institute, The Baker Heart and Diabetes Institute, Primary Care Diabetes Society, Australian Menopause Society and Arthritis South Australia.

By unpacking the findings from research conducted by Black Rainbow, the presenters will discuss this community’s unique needs, highlighting ways to improve service delivery and access. Attend to learn about the importance of applying person-centred approaches in your practice.
Session aim: Discuss the impact of Covid 19 on the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander LGBTIQA+SB community and how to strengthen the mental health and social and emotional well-being literacy of services and increase access.

Identify how the findings from Black Rainbow research highlights the mental health and social and emotional well-being needs of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander LGBTIQA+SB people including types of support that practitioners can provide.
