PFAS information for community members
Mental Health Support for Williamtown contamination zone
To support the community of Williamtown the Australian Government has funded dedicated mental health and counselling services.
The PHN has commissioned Hunter Primary Primary Care to provide appropriate mental health and counselling service. The service is free.
This service is available to anyone affected by the Williamtown PFAS incident whether they currently live in the area or not.
The counselling service is confidential and the PHN does not collect any personal information regarding participants accessing these services other than basic unidentifiable, demographic data.
Whilst we encourage eligible people to engage with their GP in the referral process to this service, community members are free to self-refer directly.
Please see a link to Hunter Primary Care's service below. If you now reside out of the Hunter region, please contact the PHN and we can arrange a private provider in your location.
