Youth Mental Health

Our PHN commissions headspace services across our region to increase access for youth and their families to help with issues affecting their mental health and wellbeing. We work to integrate and link headspace services into the broader primary care activities to foster healthcare that links physical and mental health to promote a ‘no wrong door’ approach for young people.

Each year, headspace helps thousands of young people access vital support through its 150 headspace centres across Australia, online and phone counselling services, work and study services, and through its presence in schools. headspace can help young people with mental health, physical health (including sexual health) alcohol and other drug services, and work and study support.

Youth Complex Mental Health Service

The PHN funds headspace services across the region to deliver the Youth Complex Mental Health (YCMH) services, which aims to facilitate access and improve pathways to care so that young people (aged 12-25 years) with, or at risk of developing, complex mental health issues are provided the right clinical care and support in a timely way.

Services are currently being delivered at the following headspace locations:
