Central Coast Dementia Alliance (CCDA)

Central Coast Dementia Alliance (CCDA)

The Central Coast Dementia Alliance (CCDA) formed in 2018 with the vision of members actively working together to improve the wellbeing of people living with dementia, as well as their carers and families, in the Central Coast community.

The aim of the CCDA is to ensure a collaborative and integrated approach to the planning, implementation, and evaluation of projects that improve the health, care, and quality of life for people living with dementia, their carers and their families.

We also aim to support those that provide care and services. We intend to achieve this through a formal partnership between key stakeholders, along with input from people living with dementia and their carers.

The Alliance created the Central Coast Dementia Services and Supports Toolkit as a resource for health and community workers on the Central Coast supporting people living with dementia, their carers and families.

In addition, the Alliance has recently developed a consumer toolkit with information and resources for local families impacted by dementia. The Central Coast Community Guide provides comprehensive information to help people living with memory loss and dementia, their carers and family know where to go to receive assistance.

One of our recent initiatives was the CCDA School Book Initiative.
