On behalf of Armidale Regional Council, welcome to our thriving region, or if you are considering relocating, I urge you to peruse the following pages to discover the varied and wonderful opportunities for all in the region, regardless of taste.
With spectacular national parks on our doorstep, the outdoor enthusiast is well catered for, as are the sporting types with any number of clubs to join or facilities available.
Armidale has a well-deserved reputation for the Arts and I encourage all to visit our museums and galleries as well as be on the lookout for plays and performances which occur throughout the year.
The New England Conservatorium, New England Regional Art Museum, Hoskins Centre, Aboriginal Cultural Centre and Keeping Place, the University of New England and a talented crowd of local and visiting musicians, artists, actors and enthusiasts ensure that the calendar is chock full of inspiring events and festivals.
Health professionals are a highly valued resource in our community, congratulations on choosing Armidale as your new home, I trust you will enjoy your time here … and if you are thinking of making the move, do it!
Sam Coupland
Mayor of Armidale
