  • Self-guided historical walks - Learn about the fascinating history of our towns – maps have been developed for Narrabri, Wee Waa and Boggabri. Drop into the Narrabri Region Visitor Information Centre to pick a hardcopy or download here.
  • Narrabri Town Drive - The Aboriginal meaning of Narrabri (Forked Water) refers to the Namoi River and its tributary, Narrabri Creek, which splits the town in three. The Town Drive directs you through each of these sections, giving you a glimpse of the old, new, business, residential and recreational areas, with the brochure indicating points of interest along the way.
  • The Crossing Theatre - Home to the Narrabri Civic Art Collection, two cinemas, café and a 1000-seat auditorium which regularly stages large scale conferences, promotions and live performances from visiting big-name acts.
  • Wee Waa Community Arts & Cultural Centre - The Centre fosters local artistic and cultural development and provides an independent space for the community to learn and share skills and knowledge. We love our sport in Narrabri and Wee Waa, and every weeknight and weekend you will find locals enjoying a great variety of team sports, including netball, rugby league, rugby union, AFL, football (soccer), cricket, waterpolo, basketball, polocrosse and touch football.

Volunteers worked tirelessly to convert the swamp land of Narrabri West Lake into a vibrant recreational haven, catering to swimmers, canoeists, picnickers, and windsurfers alike. For those seeking an active experience, there's a fantastic 3km walking and cycling track encircling the entire lake, which allows visitors to soak in the area's natural beauty. For bird watchers, the islands at the southern end of the Lake are a haven for local and migrating birds, including the majestic black swan. Picnic tables, BBQ facilities and outdoor gym nearby.
